A Very Proud Moment!

In January of 2023, after months of comparing, reviewing, and researching, I embarked on a professional coaching certification program through the Coach Diversity Institute. What attracted me to this program was its comprehensive nature (128 hours, lots of practice coaching time, mentoring, and a community/cohort set up), in addition to its focus on various aspects of diversity. From January to May, I attended virtual classes, studied, practiced with fellow coaches, and learned from the experts at CDI. I loved the program, and have been able to use the Coach Approach, the various techniques taught by CDI, to work with “clients” at my full-time job at So Others Might Eat. I know that my coaching style has improved since beginning this program, and it has given me the tools to support clients in new, creative, and impactful ways. I’m sharing about this program today because last night I received my official notice of my certification! After completing all of my peer and mentor coaching, I submitted my session tracker, a paper, a recording of a client session and all of my documentation… and then the wait began! I’m happy to say that it only took a few weeks and I can now proudly (and officially) share my accomplishment!
